Slot -; Price 3,000 gp; Weight 200 lbs.
Description: This simple 4’ by 4’ by 6’ chest, though decorated with ivory colored panels, is made from thick plates of steel or bronzium. Inside, perishable items never rot or degrade. In addition, any food placed in the chest gains temporary disease suppression properties. Consuming a pound of food that had been stored in the chest for at least a day and removed no more than three days prior to consumption suppresses any ability damage caused by the effect for one hour. Even though the negative effects are suppressed, the effect continues during this time. Eating one pound of food in this way combat is a full round action that provokes an attack of opportunity. A character may not consume this food if unconscious or otherwise unable to act. A character may only benefit from this effect once a day.
